FOUNDATION BOARD MEMBERS

ALAN DONALD LEVE

A distinguished electronics executive of many years, was the longtime founder, president, chief executive officer and chairman of Ohmega Technologies, Inc., in Culver City, California. Founded in 1983, the company’s international technology leading edge products have been used in a variety of electronic devices, spanning a broad spectrum of the electronics industry with applications ranging from consumer electronics to aerospace and defense electronics. The company was sold to a private equity firm in 2020.

Active with his alma mater, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), Mr. Leve is an advisory board member of the UCLA Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies which he endowed with a $5,000,000 gift in 2014. A world-class research center and intellectual hub for the study of Jewish culture, religion, thought and literature, the center is dedicated to the creation, dissemination and application of knowledge for the betterment of the global society.

Alan, and his late wife Annette, supported a range of other charitable organizations that Alan, in Annette’s memory, continues to support.

LAURA LEVE COHEN

Laura graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education. She also attended the Melton School of Education Graduate/Post Graduate. After working as a teacher and in the private sector as an executive financial recruiter, she turned her attention to becoming a full-time volunteer and philanthropist working with numerous organizations such as the Los Angeles Jewish Federation Valley Alliance in Planning and Pllocations, sits as an advisory board member on UCLA Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies, the UCLA Hillel Dortort Center, Hillel 818, and the David Labkovski Project.

ELISE LEVE

A graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She has since been a successful mortgage banker with the top firms in New York City and has been named one of the “Top 100 Mortgage Originators” in the country on numerous occasions. She supports organizations such as AIPAC and the FIDF, has co-chaired international Federation missions and spends time volunteering with The UJA Federation of America. Elise is a member of Park Avenue Synagogue in NYC as well as the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in East Hampton.

LARRY COHEN

Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Glyphix Advertising, a full-service ad agency in Los Angeles started in 1997. He is currently the President of the Shalom Institute/Camp JCA Shalom, sits on the advisory board of the UCLA Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies, and heads up the Jewish Business Leaders Business group of the San Fernando Valley. He has served on numerous boards including the Los Angeles Jewish Federation Valley Alliance, Heschel West Day School, the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival, and Jewlicious, and is a graduate of Boston University and the Wexner Heritage Program.
